They recently made the exciting move from the historic streets of Boston to the sunny vistas of Los Angeles, California. They are eagerly planning their wedding in Boston for next year. But, wanted to celebrate their engagement and new West Coast lifestyle in their engagement session. With a vision of color, and retro vibes, Palm Springs felt like the perfect backdrop.
Capturing Love in Color
The iconic Trixie Motel, known for its mid-century modern, pink-is-everywhere Palm Springs charm. It was the ideal setting to bring Nina and Bryan’s vision to life. Before their session we chatted about attire choices and what colors would be best for the different spaces we planned to photograph in. Nina and Bryan curated the perfect wardrobe to match the motel’s pastel hues of green, pink and white. We started their session in the very room they stayed in, The Pink Flamingo Suite. Starting their session in their room, with a lifestyle approach created playful yet romantic images. Having multiple locations for engagement sessions, especially private locations, gives us time to connect and get comfortable with the camera.
This Palm Springs engagement at the Trixie Motel was infused with the vibrant spirit of Palm Springs. The pink color scheme flowed throughout the Trixie Motel creating a cohesive and visually striking series of images. The pink and white pool deck contrasted beautifully with the blue sky and palm trees. The retro furniture added a touch of vintage flair and every detail was perfectly in place.
A Mid Century Modern Masterpiece
We spent a couple of hours exploring the boutique motel for Nina and Bryan’s Palm Springs engagement at the Trixie Motel. Documenting moments that ranged from candid laughter to intimate embraces. The playful setting allowed Nina and Bryan to relax and be themselves. Allowing us to easily create photos that truly reflect their joy and love for one another.
