My long time friend, Amanda, finally hired me for family portraits. Relaxed family portraits in a field was the goal + I was so excited to get to photograph her son + step sons together. For her family, just like most families, the idea of getting together for portraits was not that exciting. Especially for boys + dads. To keep things light + natural we kept everyone moving + interacting.

With the large age differences it was my goal to get the older boys to interact with the littlest one + they were very excited to play tag, wrestle + joke around with each other.
The boys wrestled in the field + ran around having a great time, forgetting they were having their portraits done! That is my ultimate goal for most sessions: to have fun + forget about the camera! The epitome of relaxed family portraits in a field.
Even though it was January + pretty brisk, I was getting super sweaty running around with these boys, getting down on the ground + doing everything they were, except for rolling in the grass! Hahaha! Almost though!
Of course we had to capture the usual family portraits. Walking hand in hand, standing + smiling at the camera + everything in between! This is such a small snippet of the amazing session we had together!
