Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes your work different from other photographers’ work?

A:  I am a “hybrid photographer” which means I shoot film and digital. I’ll explain why in the next question.  During your wedding day I am very organized, but extremely relaxed.  This definitely translates into my shooting style.  I prefer to photograph portraits in natural settings, starting you in a comfortable pose, and letting you relax and be yourselves, creating intimate, romantic and organic portraits.

Q : Why do you shoot film?

Film is magical.  11 years ago, I shot my first wedding on 35mm black and white film.  I processed and developed it all myself.  Over the years film became too expensive and hard to find.  But, recently it has made a come-back, and I’m so excited.  The feeling that a film photograph evokes is something that digital images cannot replicate.  Film makes the viewer focus on the emotion of the images, not the technical aspects.  Sometimes film photographs are not in focus... and that’s just fine.  It doesn’t matter.  It’s about the emotion being shown.  The most amazing light can be captured with film.  Skin tones are beautiful and soft.  Colors are fresh.  You will love film too!

Q : We’re having a destination wedding. Do you travel?

Yes! I have photographed many destination weddings and would love to hear about yours! Travel fees apply for weddings outside of Arizona, including flight, hotel and rental car.

Q : How many photographers will be at our wedding?

A: Every wedding collection includes at least 2 photographers, ensuring your day is smooth and artfully photographed.  If you have booked our collections with cinema, you will have 2 photographers and 1 cinematographer.

Q : Do you offer prints or albums?

A: Yes!  I offer professional quality printing and I highly recommend this for images and albums you will be displaying in your home.  Please contact me for more details on sizes I offer.

Q: How do we reserve our wedding date?

A:  A 50% retainer and signed contract is required in order to reserve your wedding date. Four weeks prior to your wedding, the remainder of the balance is due.
